Sunday School: Please join us for our last Sunday school of the season! We'll reconvene in September at the start of a fresh, new school year. This fifth week of Easter, we'll focus on a passage of scripture found in 1 Peter, which tells people who were facing challenges to put their trust in God. But what does trust mean? Why is trusting God important? Join us to discuss these important questions and to enjoy each other's company. As always, we'll have a snack and an activity too!

Funeral Service: The service to celebrate the life of Wayne Richmond will take place on Saturday, May 20 at 1:00pm. All are welcome to attend.

Baptism this Sunday: Matt Paige will be baptized at our 10am worship service this Sunday, May 21. Matt and Holly have had their three children baptized at Bethany, and now it is dad’s turn. Join us for this celebration of Matt’s baptism, and indeed each of our baptisms.

Senior Sunday: Bethany will honor our graduating seniors, William Bang-Knudsen and Anna Tuinukuafe, next Sunday, May 28, at the 10am worship service.

Pentecost: We celebrate Pentecost next Sunday, May 28. Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples following the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. Be sure to wear red next weekend, the color that represents the Holy Spirit.

It’s a Tailgate Party!: On Sunday, June 11, Bethany will be holding a tailgate party following worship, with all the “fixins”. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. We invite Bethany members to provide the sides (chips, salads, beans, etc.). This will be an occasion to honor Jim Rohrscheib for the many years of faithful service he has given to the Bethany community in serving as our treasurer. Feel free to wear sports gear – Mariners, Sounders, Kraken, Packers (oops Seahawks)!

A Baby Shower for Babies All Over the World: Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 10 now and plan to attend a baby shower in support of Lutheran World Relief and the baby care kits that are distributed all over the world. We recently blessed 63 baby care kits put together by the Rachel Circle and then shipped to Lutheran World Relief. There will be games, prizes, refreshments and fun as we gather to replenish the baby kit supplies. The shower takes place in the fellowship hall at 2:30 on June 10. More information, including the list of items needed for the kits can be found on the hallway bulletin board.
