Lift up Compass Housing Alliance at Christmas

Monday greetings to everyone,

Do you have a heart for giving to Compass Housing Alliance, the Seattle entity that aids the homeless? If so, here are some suggestions from CHA:

- Collect $25 for Fred Meyer, Target or Amazon for children and families;

- Shop for items off the CHA wish list at compasshousingalliance.org/holiday; or

- Gather supplies for holiday meal baskets.

Holiday gifts (unwrapped, please) and items for Christmas meal baskets must be dropped off by Dec. 14. Drop off items by making an appointment with Jennifer Marquette at 206-719-9137 and then delivering to 756 John St., Seattle. Mail items to Compass Housing Alliance, c/o Jennifer Marquette, 77 S Washington St., Seattle, WA 98104. You can also drop off your items at the Bethany office, and I'll see that they get to the right place.

Thank  you.

Useful gifts go a long way at Martha & Mary

Martha & Mary invites all of us to purchase throw blankets, socks with grippers or calendars to gift residents at Christmas.

The useful items are more fully described at Martha & Mary’s Amazon wish list at https://a.co/20m2h1W

You can have your items directly sent to Martha & Mary Health and Rehab. If you choose to shop outside of Amazon,  drop your items off at the nursing home at 19160 Front St. NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370.

Expect to spend about $15 to $25 for a nice-quality throw. For socks, choose warm ones with non-skid soles or grippers on the bottom.

Please get items to Martha & Mary by Dec. 1. Volunteers at Martha & Mary will wrap your donations for Christmas. Some 130 seniors reside at Martha & Mary.

“We are beyond grateful for the kindness and generosity of everyone. Thank you,” said the Rev. Kent Shane.
