December 23 Announcements

Christmas Eve Services: Bethany will have two worship services on Christmas Eve and both will include music and candlelight. The earlier 5:00pm service will feature the Bethany Brass and a special message for children. It will be slightly shorter and won’t include the Service of Holy Communion The later 10:00pm service will feature the Bethany Choir and include the Service of Holy Communion.

Saturday Evening Worship: There will be no Saturday evening worship services on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.

Office Staffing: Debbie will be taking a few days off after Christmas. The Bethany office will be closed December 27-29. She will be in 9am-3pm on December 30 and 31. Pastor Paul will be in and out of the office for the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Both Pastor Paul and Debbie will be monitoring their email. If you call and no one answers, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Year End Giving: Please note that any year end donation must be received in the Bethany office by Thursday, December 30 in order for it to be posted to your 2021 giving statement. Donations received after December 30 with appear on the first quarter 2022 giving statement.

Annual Service of Remembrance: The annual "Service of Remembrance", in honor of those who have died on the streets of Seattle in the past year, will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4-5pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seattle.  This is sponsored by Pastor Kristy Daniels and the Church of Steadfast Love, the congregation working through the Compass Housing Alliance.  Contact Pastor Paul if you are interested in attending.

Annual Meeting: The 2022 Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 30^th after the 10:00am service. An in-person annual meeting is currently planned but we will adjust to a zoom meeting if the situation in late January warrants it.

Christmas Altar Decorations: A huge thank you to the Altar Guild for so beautifully preparing the altar and the church in celebration of the Nativity of our Lord.

The later 10pm service will feature the Bethany Choir and will include the Service of Holy Communion.

Vaccination for those eligible and masks for all are required for in-person worship. A "drive-in" option is available on Sunday mornings and at both Christmas Eve services for those who are not vaccinated, not feeling well, or not comfortable with an indoor setting. You can listen to the worship service from the safety of your car by tuning to 87.9FM. A bulletin and communion elements will be available on a table under the bell tower.
