Pastor, Joe Sommerseth get the moving done

Greetings,

Joe Sommerseth and Pastor Paul moved five mattresses from the Bethany premises Thursday, along with desks, shelves, tables, chairs, giant TVs and much more. The furniture was left over from Bethany's refugee-assistance effort, in which the congregation collected items to furnish refugees' apartments, with Lutheran Community Services Northwest organizing all that. Now that's done, but quite a bit of furniture remained. There's still some to go, but enough's enough for one day. Items were recycled, when possible. The pair did the work in their usual good spirit, as you can see in the photo on the home spirit.

Emails soliciting gifts from Pastor Paul are a scam

Good Wednesday morning,

Some people in the Bethany community have received supposedly urgent emails from Pastor Paul asking for monetary contributions in the form of gift cards. These emails are not from Pastor Paul, but are a scam. Please do not open suspect emails. Delete them immediately. If you have questions about such solicitations, call the office at 206-842-4241. Thank you.
