Because of the generosity of Bethany folks Rachel Circle will send 18 school supply kits, including backpacks, to children who need them. This is a new project for our group this year, and they will be sent to Lutheran World Relief along with the fall shipment of quilts and baby kits.

For the third year straight, Martha & Mary is the beneficiary of "Microbrews for Martha & Mary," taking place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Western Red Brewing in Poulsbo. For every pint purchased during that time, the business will donate $1 to Martha & Mary. Western Red Brewing is at 19168 Jensen Way NE. I have tickets, for $5, here at the office.
