A note of gratitude for our volunteers

Good Thursday morning to you.

I am overcome with gratitude this morning for the response of the many volunteers at Bethany who keep things running. This morning, PEO is here in the fellowship -- lots of people. The presenter had problems getting her PowerPoint to work. I called Jeff Jensen and he was here to help her, along with another party who will be here in the future. His help, at 8:30 a.m. this morning no less, was appreciated.

My computer wasn't working this past week. Volunteer IT helper Richard Solinsky worked on it yesterday, coming all the way from Suquamish and taking time out of his busy day.

Joe Sommerseth helped me move a table on Monday.

And then there are the quilters, here Tuesday, sending quilts, baby kits and school kits to those in need all over the world.

The list goes on and on.

How humbling it is for me to see the shining face of God every day at Bethany.

Join Us Microbrews for Martha & Mary on Saturday

Hi all this Wednesday,

Be sure not to miss drinking beer with Bethany and other Lutheran congregations from 4 to 7 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 26, at Western Red Brewing in Poulsbo. Bring tickets if you bought them and more will be on hand at the gathering, for $5. A portion of proceeds will go to Martha & Mary, to sustain and expand its life-enriching programs for seniors.
