Bethany celebrates Pastor Paul's 10th anniversary

Pastor Paul was greatly moved by the celebration Bethany gave him on Sunday to mark his 10 years of service here. It was all hands on deck. The choir led us in song with special lyrics reflecting Pastor Paul's love of babies, blackberries, backpacking was feted. Allison Pringle and the Sunday-school students brought in banners, see above. Shirley Funk and Helen Stoll helped, and all Bethanians enjoyed homemade berry pie during the fellowship hour. Tickets on sale Nov. 4 for PLU Christmas concert

Good Thursday morning,

Tickets for Pacific Lutheran University's beloved Christmas concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Try to be close to the first in line for your choice of tickets to the concert.

The theme is "O Nata Lux," as the PLU Choir of the West, the University Chorale, and the University Symphony Orchestra present works by Dan Forrest, Eric Whitacre, Morten Lauridsen and Benjamin Britten. The audience will participate in the singing of traditional Christmas carols.

The one performance at Benaroya Hall in Seattle will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9. Identical performances at Lagerquist Hall at PLU will be at 8 p.m. Dec. 7; 2 p.m. Dec. 8; 8 p.m. Dec. 14; and 2 p.m. Dec. 15.
