A life in art: Watercolorist Cindy Heine at FFF Wednesday

Good Tuesday morning,

At noon on Wednesday, tomorrow, we'll have our monthly FFF meeting that starts off with a delicious potluck with presentation to follow. Cindy Heine is our featured speaker. Bethany has relied on Cindy for some time to produce art for bulletin covers, banners and more. She's spent years painting, and is bringing samples of her work to accompany her talk. Call the office if you haven't signed up and care to join us. Out front you see a watercolor of Christ Cindy painted late last year.

Monster tree gets cut down to size

Good Monday morning to you,

A huge thanks to community member Tom Kilbane, Bethany member Joe Sommerseth and a couple of other men who just happened by for taking down the enormous tree that was heavily damaged by snow this winter.

The work started Saturday, and is continuing this morning. I watched this able crew as they downed big limbs, one by one, off the tree, located near "the point" by the Bethany orchard. The sawdust was flying and sweat was pouring.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
