Our Christmas Tree
A heartfelt thank you to the following individuals for their time, care, and teamwork in setting up and taking down the Christmas tree and decorations.
Gail Christensen & Linnea Chu for their beautiful service in the Advent Sanctuary.
Doug Olsen & Andy Rimkus for bringing in and setting up the tree with such ease and efficiency.
Selina & Gary Johnson for the care and attention given to the tree lighting.
Barbara Swartling, Vicki Beck, Gail Christensen, & Heather Ballain for the beautiful decorating of the tree.
Tim Carlsen, Nancy Wetzler, Linnea Chu, Barbara Swartling, Kathy Dudgeon, Gail Christensen, Noreen  Jeff Sievertson, Melanie Olson, & Vicki Beck for their dedication & teamwork in taking down the Christmas décor and tree.
You all did such a wonderful job, and we are truly grateful for the gifts of time and service you shared with our church community.

Annual Meeting Reports!
Please send reports to the church admin by January 22. Bethany’s 2025 Annual meeting is scheduled for February,1  2026.

Year End Giving
2025 Year End Giving Statements will be mailed by the end of January 2026.

Sign up for Altar Flowers
The Altar Flower sign up sheet for 2026 is available on the hallway bulletin board. Please consider signing up for a weekend to provide altar flowers in honor or memory of a special person or event. You can check column A on the signup sheet and bring an arrangement. Or check column B to make a donation and have the Altar Guild provide the flowers.

January 1 Announcements

Changes at the Bethany Office
Thank you and Congratulations Debbie in her retirement and Kelsey is settling into the role nicely. 

We welcomed Kim Uptgrafft as our new church bookkeeper. Kim and her family are fellow Bethanians and we feel she is a wonderful addition to the office staff. She is working with Amanda for a couple weeks until Amanda leaves to prepare for her new baby to arrive later in January.

2026 Giving Envelopes
2026 giving envelopes are now ready for those that requested them. Please look for your packet on the table in the narthex. There is a sign up sheet on the table for those who did not request envelopes on a pledge card but would like a set.

2025 Giving Statements
2025 Year End Giving Statements will be mailed by the end of January 2026.

January Bible Study
The Rachel Circle Bible study group will meet on Tuesday January 6 at 10:00 am followed by quilting. The Mid Week Bible study group is beginning a study on the book of Romans Wednesday January 7. The Women’s Book and Bible study group will meet Monday January 12 at 9:30 am. All Bible study groups meet in fellowship hall.

Rachel Circle Hiatus
The Rachel Circle meets on January 6, 2026.

NW Washington Synod Disaster Relief for Flooding Help
The NW Washington Synod Disaster Relief Fund is working to assist people affected by the recent flooding in Western Washington.  You can donate on-line at LuteransNW or you can write a check to: NWWA Synod with “NWWA Synod Floods” on the memo and mail to: ELCA Region 1; PO Box 94432; Seattle, WA  98124-6732
