Still time for gift certificates for Helpline

Greetings,

We're well above our goal of collecting 20 gifts cards for Helpline House, each worth $25. But it you'd like to add another gift card, you can't designate your gift and drop it in the bucket tomorrow, or contact the church office.

Thank you,

Rachel Pritchett, office administrator

Bethany will be collecting 25 gift cards, each worth $25 dollars, for clients of Helpline House. This will be our Christmas effort for our local food bank. Stay turned for details, coming soon.

An update from Pastor Paul

By Pastor Paul Stumme-diers

Bethany will be publishing a newsletter this final week in November, but we wanted to inform the Bethany community of some time-sensitive announcements in advance of that.

- Christmas gift-giving with our partners: The Bethany Council invites you to consider these partners when planning your gift giving. Please note the method and dates preferred by these agencies so as to meet distribution schedules;

        Martha & Mary (marthaandmary.org) by Dec. 1
Helpline House ($25 gift cards, or cash for gift cards that will be purchased by Bethany.)

Seniors: Ace, Safeway, Rite-Aid, Amazon
Kids: Eagle Harbor Book Co., Calico Cat

- Advent activities: Yes, Advent, which begins next Sunday, Nov. 29.
Bethany Advent wreath … let’s just say you don’t want to miss our drive-in worship services the next four weeks.
Advent logs: Kathy Dudgeon has created Advent log kits (logs, candles, attached greenery) that can be picked up after worship under the bell tower. Thank you, Kathy.
Advent devotions: Join Pastor Paul in receiving email reflections each day from Fr. Richard Rohr at cac.org/email-sign-up/sign-up/
Mid-week Advent candlelight vigil: Each Wednesday in Advent (Dec. 2, 9, 16) at 5:30 p.m. over 100 luminaries will be lit around the Bethany grounds to enhance reflections and walking. They will mark the labyrinth and a path from the church, down through the orchard, and back up to the public trail along Sportsman’s Club Road back to the church.

- Bethany’s Stewardship Campaign: This will begin at the end of the month. Information to follow.

- Christmas Eve Worship Services on Thursday, Dec. 24, are at this time being planned as drive-in worship services. Stay tuned for the times.
