Quilts and baby kits boxed for shipping

 Good Wednesday to you,

Bethany quilters and other volunteers boxed 102 quilts and 53 baby kits on Tuesday, and the boxes now are bound for Lutheran World Relief. Ultimately, the quilts and kits will be distributed to those in need in the far corners of the world. Some $339 was raised for shipping last weekend. Thanks, everyone for this multi-faceted effort. Bethany garden coming together fast

After a few years of disuse and no water, Bethany’s community garden is back in business. The garden holds many upcoming lessons for Bethany Sunday schoolers. Thanks to Mary Douglas for getting the beds and surrounding grounds into shape. Thanks also to Doug Olson for rebuilding the raised bed frames, which were falling apart. Swing by and take a look. Want to volunteer? See Child and Family Coordinator Allison Pringle, 206-940-9086 or . Pictured above: Mary Douglas, and a newly remade raised-bed frame. Pictured outside: Doug Olson builds a frame.
