Hi all this Wednesday,
Be sure not to miss drinking beer with Bethany and other Lutheran congregations from 4 to 7 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 26, at Western Red Brewing in Poulsbo. Bring tickets if you bought them and more will be on hand at the gathering, for $5. A portion of proceeds will go to Martha & Mary, to sustain and expand its life-enriching programs for seniors.

Pastor Paul was greatly moved by the celebration Bethany gave him on Sunday to mark his 10 years of service here. It was all hands on deck. The choir led us in song with special lyrics reflecting Pastor Paul's love of babies, blackberries, backpacking was feted. Allison Pringle and the Sunday-school students brought in banners, see above. Shirley Funk and Helen Stoll helped, and all Bethanians enjoyed homemade berry pie during the fellowship hour.
