A couple of thank-you’s from CROP Walk
Good Tuesday to you,
Rachel Circle Bible Study is meeting in the courtyard today, at 55 degrees. Quilting follows. If you would like to join the Bible study which meets once a month, call the office at 842-4241.
Here are two thank-you letters from the CROP Walk. The first is from Maria Metzler, executive director of Helpline House. The second is from organizer Chris Christensen:
Dear Pastor Paul, Rachel, David and Barbara Swartling, and all Bethanians,
Thank you for your gumption to organize your own CROP Walk to Helpline House. Four-hundred pounds of food! That’s something! Thank you for the intentionality of putting feet on the ground and making the walk carrying the donated food. As you well know, it goes right out to our neighbors in need. Thank you.
Maria Metzler
And from Chris ...
Our September virtual CROP Hunger Walk is over. Our total donations as of Oct. 1 are around $15,000 with expectations of more trickling in. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oct. 15 is the deadline for getting additional donations to our BI/NK CROP Hunger Walk treasurer, Denise Brown. Her contact info is
.
The BI/NK CROP Hunger Walk website will be open until Dec. 2. Check out the nice photo of Nancy Quitslund on our site www.crophungerwalk.org/bainbridgeislandwa/
Always interested in getting your feedback about the ‘Walk,’ especially this year. What worked? What could we do to improve the process for you and your faith community? I really missed being with everyone on the Walk day. Any ideas of how we could get that sense of community if we have to do this next year? Depressing thought, but a possibility.
Thank you. The Team is really pleased with the totals for this odd year. hank you and each of your faith group’s donors and ‘walkers.’
