The quilts and kits are on their way

Hi everyone,

I simply do not know how they did it. Somehow, Joe and Linda Sommerseth got all the boxes of quilts, school kits and baby kits into Joe's white pickup truck and Linda's car Thursday morning. To be clear, it was about twice the normal amount, due to COVID. Or, 100 quilts, 57 school kits, 77 baby kits and nine fabric kits. The Sommerseths wdrove their two vehicles onto the Edmonds ferry and over to Redeemer Lutheran Church of Ballard on Friday. Eventually the items will go to Lutheran World Relief headquarters in Baltimore. From there, they will be sent all around the globe to those most in need. Here's a photo of Joe and his truck filled with boxes.

Thanks, you guys.

Let's help Rachel Circle with shipping cost

Greetings,

Rachel Circle is about to ship some 100 quilts, 77 baby kits and 57 school kits to Lutheran World Relief, where they will be distributed to those in need throughout the world. Due to COVID-19, this is far greater than the usual amount, and the cost of shipping is going to be commensurately more.

For the next two Saturdays, as you depart the drive-in worship service, please consider leaving a donation for shipping with one of our quilters. Look for the signs. Please make checks out to “Rachel Circle” and put “Shipping” in the memo line.

Thank you to all who contributed supplies, and who now are helping with the shipping cost.
