Alice McCain to attend WELCA Triennial Gather in Minneapolis

Bethany member Alice McCain will take part in the Women of the ELCA Triennial Gathering next month in Minneapolis.

McCain, who is active in Rachel Circle and in Lutheran advocacy efforts, said, “I haven’t been a part of WELCA, but I want to learn more about it, especially what WELCA does for women around the world who aren’t as blessed as we North American women are.”

Alice will be taking items to contribute from Bethany, including quilt fabric and supplies for feminine-hygiene kits. Contact Alice and see the bulletin board for more information.

Large FFF group from Bethany to visit Kaffe Stua in Poulsbo

Good morning, everyone,

Some 19 from Bethany already are signed up to enjoy a traditional Norwegian lunch at Kaffe Stua this Wednesday in Poulsbo. But we’re missing you.

Bethany’s FFF group of seniors will meet at Bethany at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, where we’ll work out car assignments. We then travel to the Poulsbo Sons of Norway hall, arriving at noon, where we’ll enjoy a traditional Norwegian lunch.

The cost is $12. The fellowship is priceless.
