Bethany shows its true color - purple

Bethany folks donned the color purple at last Saturday's worship service to show their support for the fight against pancreatic cancer. Bethany member Franklin Chu said, "To be enveloped in such an embrace of care and concern is overwhelming and life-affirming."

Quilts herald special seasons and times

Whenever you’re in the fellowship hall, take a glance at the far wall where you’ll see two quilts representing a special time such as Lent, or Easter, pictured. We thank our tireless and talented quilters not just for all the work they do providing quilts for Lutheran World Relief, but also for so often displaying them.

Quilt & Kit Weekend is April 29, 30

Quilt and Kit Weekend is April 29 and 30. Quilts will be displayed on the pews and baby kits will be piled up near the altar the end of April. We will say a blessing for these gifts as they go to people worldwide to keep them warm. Envelopes will be pinned to quilts for an opportunity to "adopt" a quilt by enclosing checks or cash for shipping to a far-away destination. Make checks out to Rachel Circle or Bethany Lutheran Church with “Quilts” in the subject line.

Consider donating items for baby kits

Items are still needed for baby kits. A poster is displayed for you to get an idea of what is needed. A few suggestions are shirts 6-24 months, no American flags, no camouflage or religious or military designs please. Outdoor jackets, sweaters are needed as well, size 12-24 years, most fleece is a perfect weight. The same rules apply on logos. Dark- colored hand towels, good-sized receiving blankets or flannel/fleece yardage is appreciated. Envelopes are available if you prefer to donate that way and checks should have “Baby Kits” on the subject line. Place items in the cradle in the narthex.

Thank you so much for your ongoing generosity.
