For the third year straight, Martha & Mary is the beneficiary of "Microbrews for Martha & Mary," taking place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Western Red Brewing in Poulsbo. For every pint purchased during that time, the business will donate $1 to Martha & Mary. Western Red Brewing is at 19168 Jensen Way NE. I have tickets, for $5, here at the office. Hi all,
We have a special FFF program on Wednesday, Oct. 16, with Wayne Daley telling us about the $800 million remediation of the poisons left behind by the copper mine at Holden Village. You are invited. The fabled Lutheran retreat center above Lake Chelan was closed for much of the remediation, and during that time Wayne designed and worked on a number of infrastructure improvements to the village, and old company town that housed the miners.
We'll see you at noon on Wednesday.
