Compass Housing Alliance gala, auction coming can't be missed

As you know, Bethany Lutheran Church has a deep and long-held relationship with Compass Housing Alliance, the Seattle-area entity that houses and helps the homeless. Colleen Chupik, David Swartling, Dick Heine and Franklin Chu from Bethany are or have been board members, three of them current members on the CHA board. Bethany member Louise Urness is the widow of the Rev. Nyer Urness, namesake for one of CHA's many homeless-housing complexes. And you should see Bethany member DeMar Sather at work in the Compass mailroom each Wednesday. The list goes on and on.
Now comes the time to support Compass, by attending its biggest annual fundraiser, it's gala and auction from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Motif Seattle, 1415 Fifth Ave. Bethany has tables reserved. Contact Swartling, Chupik or Heine to go, or you can call me at the office, 842-4241.
