Wednesday Lenten soup-and-worship times canceled
Good Wednesday morning to you,
Bethany leaders met last night and decided to cancel all Wednesday Lenten gatherings, as we work to keep our church free of the coronavirus. That means that the noontime soup and worship time is canceled, as is the evening soup and worship gathering at 6:15 p.m.
Our weekend worship times at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday will continue. We can expect fewer people coming. Hospitality will be simplified to just wine on Saturdays and coffee on Sundays, nothing to eat. We will have a single pourer of wine and coffee, and we will use paper cups.
We are working on making communion even safer, and we have sanitized the sanctuary, including every chair. Today we are going to space out the chairs in the sanctuary, so that worshipers have more room around them.
We also are working on an online worship opportunity.
The office is open all day today and tomorrow. You can stop by or call in confidence, and I’d appreciate a visit!
