Vokal Nord Chamber Choir knocks it out of the ballpark

Hi all,

It was a concert that all at once captured the dark shades of the Norwegian psyche, lept into the tribal modern, and evoked the springtime of mountain meadows. Vokal Nord sang an au-gratis concert last night to a full house at Poulsbo First Lutheran Church. The group was here for the opening of the Nordic Museum in Ballard, and came to Poulsbo to nurture deep connections with that church. The group visited the Hearthstone Retirement Center at Green Lake, a perfect stop, since many people of Norwegian descent reside there.

The costumes, traditional, were wonderful. All in all, a good evening. Pastor Paul, Noreen and Jeff Sievertson, Sonja Selboe and Carlton Anderson were among those from Bethany who attended.

Here's a photo of the evening from the Poulsbo First porch.
