Pringle selected as Youth and Family Coordinator

It is with great honor and responsibility that I am excited to announce that I will be taking on the role of Youth and Family Coordinator at Bethany.  Our family has been blessed by this community for the last four years, which includes my husband Scott, and children James (8) and Katie (5).  Most young families have gotten to know me as the VBS Coordinator for the last three summers.  I have served in other roles at church including on Council and on the refugee resettlement committee.  As someone who has grown up in the Lutheran Church and have maintained some of those friendships and bonds with friends from Sunday School, I feel it is very important to build community, friends, and faith in children at an early age so it can sustain and help nurture and grow their faith as they age.  As Pastor Paul and I have discussed the goals and the activities for this year we have taken into consideration a lot of feedback and suggestions from families and parents and want you to know that WE HEAR YOU.  And we want to continue to communicate and respond to the growing needs and support our families.  It might take some time and some trial and error but we are committed to growing and expanding.  This will include Sunday School programming during worship each Sunday, mid-week events and activities surrounded around gathering for meals, and once a month youth and family Sundays to invite families to be a part of the liturgy and service time. My goal is also to develop cross-generational events and activities so we can draw from the greatest strength we have at Bethany: our community.  So this message is really for everyone at Bethany: everyone is encouraged to be involved in our family ministry so that that we can all express care, carry on traditions, challenge growth, provide support, and show Jesus’ love to all.  Even though we are jumping right into starting programming, I would love feedback and especially IDEAS on what people want to see and be INVOLVED with.

Thank you for trusting me with serving you in this role.
