Sanctuary Project – Help Needed!: Following the approval by the congregation in May, the sanctuary update project will get started later this month. The first task will be removing the ceiling and other demolition that is necessary for the project. This will begin the week after Father’s Day. While some items can be removed from the sanctuary in advance, most of the removal will take place after worship on June 19. Please plan to stay and help with this “all hands on deck” effort.
Sanctuary Project Donations: Thank you to all those who have made a gift or pledge towards the cost of the sanctuary update. We still need to raise approximately $18,000 to complete the project. If you have not yet had a chance to contribute to this much needed effort, please consider making a donation. Every gift makes a difference!
June Bible Study: The Women's Bible Study group will meet on June 13 at 9:30am at the home of Alice McCain. The Men's Bible Study group will meet on June 14 at 8am in fellowship hall.
End of Preschool Year: The Bethany Lutheran Preschool celebrated the end of a very successful year on Wednesday, June 8. A huge thank you to Preschool Director, Katie Drovdahl for her leadership during a challenging year, and to all the amazing preschool teachers. We wish the staff, students and their families a happy summer break.
Amabile Choir Concerts: The Amabile Choir, under the direction of our own Sylvia Cauter, will be performing their spring concerts on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, July 18 at 7:30pm in the Bethany Sanctuary. Celebrate Father’s Day weekend listening to this amazing choral group! Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Dana’s Showhouse or from an Amabile Choir member. Tickets purchased for the postponed May concerts are valid for next weekend’s concerts.
Altar Flowers: The altar flowers this weekend are given by Gail Christensen in celebration of Dave’s 82nd birthday.
Prayers Are Requested For: Georgia Figgins as her cancer concerns have heightened; Becci Kerstetter who is undergoing chemotherapy; Evan Stoll as he deals with various health issues; Louise Urness, as she makes the move to an assisted living facility.
