Root Beer Float Weekend: This summer Bethany will have a few special fellowship hours after worship services. First up is Root Beer Float weekend! Pastor Paul will be serving up root beer floats after both the 5pm Saturday service and the 10:00am Sunday service this weekend. Watch the announcements for future special fellowship opportunities.
Supporting Worship: We are so grateful to all those who help make worship happen for all of us. What is involved in supporting Bethany services?
- Greeting people and handing out bulletins
- Serving as lay readers
- Passing the collection plate and guiding worshipers to the altar for communion
- Providing hospitality after the service
All of this helps make our time in worship more meaningful. Have you thought about helping with one of these tasks but aren’t sure what is involved? Stop by the office or give Debbie a call at 206-842-4241. She can explain each of the different worship assistant roles and help find the right one for you. It takes all of us to make church happen!
July IMPACT Gathering: Mark your calendars for a youth and family IMPACT pot-luck picnic on Sunday, July 2, from 4:00-5:30. Weather permitting, we'll eat outside, play a few games, and check out the Bethany Garden of Eatin's progress. Everyone is welcome, so please come and bring something to share if you can--and if you can't or just don't have time to bring something, come anyway! Questions? Contact Pastor Erin at
Adult Faith Formation: Plans are underway for next season's Adult Forum. If you have ideas for topics you'd like to explore in this context, please be in touch with Pastor Erin as she works with Pastor Paul to put together the schedule. Adult forum is for adults both young and older, so please know that you are welcome to share input no matter where you fall on that spectrum.
Family Fun This Summer: A summer news flyer is now available detailing summer fun for families at Bethany Lutheran Church. Click here to view the flyer or check it out on the Faith Formation Bulletin Board in the Narthex. Please be in touch with Pastor Erin with any questions.
A New Doorbell: To increase the security for staff or volunteers who may be working in the building alone, we have installed a new electronic doorbell. If you come to the church during office hours, or to meet a staff member outside of office hours, and the front door is locked, press the button located in the lower half of the electronic doorbell for assistance.
Altar Flowers: The altar flowers this weekend are given by Alice & Bruce McCain in celebration of Bruce’s and grandson Ian’s birthdays.
Prayers are Requested: for Benay Nordby, Noreen Sievertson and Evan Stoll as they continue to recover from surgeries and medical procedures; for Georgia Figgins as she moves into a new chemotherapy protocol; for Rachel Pritchett as she grieves the death of her mother.
