January 6 Announcements
Worship in January: In light of the high rate of transmission of the Omicron variant and with guidance from Northwest Synod leaders, we will be modifying our worship schedule in January. We will continue to have in person worship on Sunday mornings, but there will be no Saturday evening service. Additionally, we will suspend the coffee fellowship after the Sunday morning service for the month. Full vaccination and masks are required to attend in person worship. The drive-in option is available for those who are not feeling well or are not fully vaccinated. We ask at this time that you please not enter the building if you are experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms.

Rachel Circle Bible Study: The Rachel Circle Bible study group will meet next Tuesday, January 11 at 10am.
Advent and Christmas Decorations: Thank you to everyone who helped prepare the sanctuary for Advent and Christmas. A big thank you to Gail Christensen who prepared the sanctuary for Advent. Thanks to Doug Olson, Mike Bartunek, Dick Coar and Pastor Paul for setting up the tree. Thanks to Gary and Selina Johnson for putting the lights on the tree with help from Nancy Wetzler, Miriam Barrender and Linnea Chu. And thank you to Jan Thrun, Joy Rodina, Miriam Barrender, Barbara Swartling and Vickie Bech who decorated the tree. Special thanks to Kathy Dudgeon who assembled the candle cups. And finally, a great big thank you to everyone who helped take down the tree and all the decorations! This includes Gail Christensen, Pastor Paul, Melanie Olson, Linnea Chu, Nancy Wetzler, Joe Sommerseth and Vickie Bech. Our deepest gratitude goes to Ruth Bartunek for organizing and overseeing the entire process!
Year End Statements: Year-end giving statements will be mailed by mid January. Please review your statement when you receive it. If you have any questions concerning the statement contact our financial secretary, Kristi Sutton.
Annual Service of Remembrance: The annual "Service of Remembrance", in honor of those who have died on the streets of Seattle in the past year, will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4-5pm via YouTube. This is sponsored by Pastor Kristy Daniels and the Church of Steadfast Love, the congregation working through the Compass Housing Alliance. Annual Meeting: The 2022 Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 30th after the 10:00am service. An in-person annual meeting is currently planned but we will adjust to a zoom meeting if the situation in late January warrants it.
Altar Flowers: The altar flowers this weekend are given by Anne Howard Lindquist.
