January Bible Study: The Men’s Bible Study Group will meet Tuesday, January 9 at 8:00am. The Women’s Bible Study and Book Group will meet Monday, January 15 at 9:30am. All Bible Study Groups meet in fellowship hall.
2024 Giving Envelopes: The 2024 Giving Envelopes are available on a table in the narthex for those who requested them. If you would like envelopes and don’t find a set, please fill in the sign-up sheet and Debbie will prepare a set for you.
Christ in Our Home Devotionals: The January/February/March Christ in Our Home Devotionals are available on a table in the narthex. All are welcome to take one to use at home.
Faith Formation: Pastor Erin's position as Pastor of Faith Formation has come to an end. While there won’t be any Sunday school in January, there are a variety of children's resources available during the worship hour. Pastor Erin will rejoin the Bethany community as our Care Pastor beginning in February. We are looking for a few volunteers to help with our faith formation programs. If you are interested, please contact Debbie in the office.
Help Plan a Party: Pastor Paul is retiring, and we are throwing him party! The Fellowship Team welcomes anyone who would like to help plan the party. The Team will meet on Friday, January 5 at 11:00am to start planning the event. For more information contact Mary Jensen at . And mark your calendars now for Sunday, January 28th as Pastor Paul celebrates his last Sunday with the Bethany community and we celebrate him with a great big retirement bash!
Debbie Out of the Office: Debbie is taking some time off to visit her granddaughter, Marin. She will be back in the office on Wednesday, January 10. She will respond to any emails or phone messages when she returns.
Service of Remembrance: The annual Service of Remembrance is an opportunity to remember, honor and pray for those who have died on the streets or as a result of being homeless. The service will take place on Friday, January 5 at 4:00pm at Immanual Lutheran Church, 1215 Thomas St. Seattle. The event will also be live-streamed at hhtps://www.youtube.com/c/ImmanuelLutheranChurch.
Altar Flowers: The altar flowers this weekend are provided by the Altar Guild in celebration of Christmas. Now that 2023 has drawn to a close, please consider signing up to provide altar flowers in 2024 in honor or memory of a special person or occasion. This can be done by providing the arrangement or making a contribution and having the Altar Guild flower team provide the arrangement. The 2024 Altar Flowers sign-up sheet is on the hallway bulletin board.
