Freezing snow on the ground and roof, and they're already at it
Good Tuesday morning,
Thirty-three degrees, snow almost frozen to the ground and the roofers are arriving. Work will continue today on placing a metal roof on the sanctuary, to replace an aging shingle roof. The roofers work no matter the weather conditions. These past weeks, we've seen them work in driving rain, cold temperatures, high winds and, yes, even sunbreaks. But snow, that's a new one to the list. Pastor Paul makes them coffee and I am getting to know them, too. But they're all work, believe me.
The Bethany office will close around noon today, and we are open regular hours the rest of the week.
Remember that Ash Wednesday worship is Wednesday, with services at noon and 7 p.m. Many older members and community members prefer the noon service, because of the daylight and the Access buses. I will watch the Access buses during the noon worship so that your won't leave while you're here.
